Anime Kaiju No.8 Premieres on TV Tokyo on April 13.

All the anime sci-fi anime fans assembled, and I have got great news for you. Kaiju No.8 is all set to be broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan on April 13, 2024. The official website released an additional trailer confirming the premiere date for the anime. The first announcement for Naoya Matsumoto’s manga was made on August 4, 2022.

Staff and Cast

With the original work from Naoya Matsumoto, the excellent team behind the screen consists of Shigeyuki Miya (Buchhigiri) and Tomomi Kamiya (Jujutsu Kaisen) will direct the TV Anime at Production I.G. studios. Along with Studio Khara will supervise the Kaiju designs and artworks. Ichiro Okouchi (Spy x Family Code White) as the scriptwriter with Tetsuya Nishio (The Sky Crawlers) is the character designer for the TV Anime. Yuta Bando (Teen Regime) composes the music for the series, the opening theme named “Abyss” is performed by Yungblud and OneRepublic performs the ending theme song called “Nobody”

The plot of the TV anime Kaiju No.8 focuses on the world that is plagued by the creatures known as Kaiju. The protagonist Kafka Hibino aspires to eliminate Kaiju by joining the Defence Force. As the circumstances force him to drift apart from his goals, will the fire to wipe out Kaiju reignite inside Kafka?

Naoya Matsumoto’s manga Kaiju No.8 first began its serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app in July 2020.
Viz Media acquired the rights for the English Publication in North America while Crunchyroll licensed the rights to broadcast the anime.
