Howdy! Anime Lovers and DC Fans, great news awaits you. Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League Anime begins its production. Warner Bros Japan revealed the announcement on Thursday, The production has begun on their Twitter account. The Movie will be a sequel to the CG Batman Ninja Anime movie. Warner Bros. Japan also revealed the official poster for the movie.
The previous director Junpei Mizusaki of the movie known for his work in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is returning to direct the sequel too. Kazuki Nakashima (Brand New Animal, Gurren Lagaan) will handle the scripts for the movie. Takahashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai, Summer Wars) will also return to design the characters. Yugo Kanno (Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) will again create magic with his music.
The previous voice actor Koichi Yamadera will make a comeback to voice Bruce Wayne/Batman. Though much of the details aren’t revealed Warner Bros Japan has scheduled to reveal more details at the Anime Expo on July 4.
Masato Hisa’s manga adaptation started serialization in the Monthly Hero’s Magazine on June 30, 2018. The Manga also won the Seuin Award for Best Comic.
The first movie titled Batman Ninja premiered in Japanese theatres in June 2018 and was released digitally worldwide both in English and Japanese in April 2018.
The Batman Ninja Anime movie earned 3.6 million dollars with its total domestic home video earnings. The domestic DVD Sales brought 680K dollars and 2.9 million dollars from domestic Blu-ray sales.
The Movie also inspired a stage play that played in November 2021.
