Blue Lock Anime 2nd Season debuts in October, Nomura Surprises with Illustration. 

Howdy! Anime Lovers. Let’s check out some great soccer news. Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura’s Blue Lock Anime 2nd season is all set to be released in October 2024. The official Twitter account of the anime announced the news on Monday while releasing an illustration from Nomura yet an exact date is yet to be announced. 

Blue Lock Anime 2nd Season

Muneyuki Kanashiro and Yusuke Nomura’s Manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2018. The soccer anime has been collected in 28 Tankobon volumes. 

Blue Locks’ first season produced by Eight Bit aired from October 9, 2022, to March 26, 2023, on TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation block. Crunchyroll premiered the series in October 2022 with the English Dub. Media-link also licensed the series in Asia-Pacific. 

The first season follows Yoichi Isagi and his high school soccer team trying to enter the Nationals but fails. Soon an invite sits at his home from the Japan Football Union for a secret project named Blue Lock. The Ultimate goal of the project is to dig out the star striker for the Japanese National Team. 

Blue Lock Anime

A spin-off film named Blue Lock Episode Nagi was released in Japanese theatres on April 19, 2024. The Movie had a whooping amount of 463 million yen in its first three days and ranked 2 at the Japanese box office. The Movie is all set to release in North America on June 28. 

Blue Lock Manga was one of the best-selling manga series selling over 8 million copies from 2022 to 2023. It won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shonen category in 2021 and was also nominated for the Harvey Award for the Best Manga Category. 

Kodansha also announced a stage play adaptation of the manga in December 2022 which ran on May 4, 2023.
