Elias Studio’s Plus-Sized Elf Anime Unveils Staff and PV, releases in July.

Howdy! Anime Lovers out there, your daily dose of anime news is here. Elias Studio’s Plus-sized Elf Anime releases a promo video on their official website on Thursday revealing the staff and cast for the anime adaptation. The Fantasy anime is all set to premiere in July 2024.

With the original adaptation from Snyecdoche’s manga, Toshikatsu TOKORO (Higurashi When They Cry, Hunter x Hunter OVA) is directing the anime at Elias Studios. Yuki Takabayashi (Love Rice, Why the Hell Are You Here, Teacher) is handling the scripts along with Katsuyuki Sato (Fire in his Fingertips- My Childhood Friend is Fireman) designing the characters for the anime. Cher Watanabe (Ultimate Muscle, The Prince of Tennis) will create his magic of music.

The anime also features an incredible star cast that includes:

  • Ayasa Ito (The Demon Girl Next Door) as Elfuda
  • Takahide Ishii (Cells at Work! Code Black) as Tomoatsu Naoe
  • Rena Hasegawa (Dropkick on My Devil! X) as Kuroeda
  • Ayaka Fukuhara (To Your Eternity) as Oga

Plus-Sized Elf anime features the world of humans and Tomoatsu Naoe, a dietician/massage therapist who has the wildest encounter one night. Naoe meets an over-sized Elf from the other world that lives in the human world and feeds on junk Food. Naoe helps his uncommon customers to lift the burden of being overweight but soon a lot of other-worldly customers happen to arrive at his doorstep. What will He do?

Plus-sized Elf manga started its serialization journey on Wani Books on their comic-con website from December 2016 to June 2020. Later it was acquired by Akita Shoten in September 2021 also in the same year Snyecdoche ended the first manga and began the sequel titled “Plus-sized Elf. Second Helping”

Seven Seas Entertainment acquired the license for English Publication in North America on Nov 17, 2017.
