Fantasy Novel “Bye Bye Earth” Anime debuts in July

The Storm of Exciting news for today is here. WOWOW, Sony Pictures, and Crunchyroll co-produced “Bye Bye Earth” Anime is all set to be broadcast in July. The official website revealed the character information and talented cast members for the TV Anime. The creators also released a key visual on their official X account.

Staff and cast

The original novel series was written by Tow Ubukata, illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, and later adapted into manga by Ryu Asahi. Yasuto Nihsitaka (Rurouni Kenshin) will direct the series along with Sota Yokote(Boruto) as the assistant director at Liden Films. Hiroyuki Yoshino (Code Geass) will oversee the scripts and Yuki Hino (Cells at Work) will handle the character designs. Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss) will create magic with his musical composition.

The original novel’s story follows the life of Belle Lablac who wields power and strength to amazing skills on the earth. Surprisingly, everyone on Earth has turned into different forms of animals. Belle sets out to find left-out humans like her.

The fantasy Novel was first published in two volumes by Kadokawa Shoten in December 2000. A new edition by Ubukata and illustrated by Hyung-Tae was produced in four volumes in February 2008.

Ryu Asahi’s manga adaptation began serialization in Shonen Gahosha’s Seinen manga magazine from January 2020 to July 2022.

Bye Bye Earth Anime will air on TV channel WOWOW and stream worldwide on Crunchyroll.
