Howdy! Anime suckers, ready for some news updates on your favorite anime. King of Prism anime movie titled Dramatic Prism 1 officially announced the theatrical release in Japan on Aug 16. The official website also released a teaser trailer, a key visual, and character illustrations on Thursday.
Reportedly, Dramatic Prism 1 will be an updated version of 2019’s King of Prism Shiny Seven Stars which is a theatrical film and television anime series combined. The movie will be released with some extra footage to bless the franchise’s fans.

King of Prism is originally a spin-off of the Pretty Rhythm franchise and the previous staff returning for the movie. Masakazu Hisida will continue his journey as the director at Tatsunoko Production. Jou Aoba is handling the script while Mai Matsura is handling the character designs with Shoji Hara. Yoshihiro Otobe also returns as CG Director for the movie.
King of Prism has several films released, the first movie titled King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm released in Jan 2016. The second film, King of Prism: Pride The Hero released in June 2017. The King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars is divided into four films released in theatres and an anime series. Crunchyroll aired the series.
The King of Prism All Stars: Prime Show Best 10 was the latest movie in the franchise, released in 2020 and featuring Top 10 fan-voted prime shows.
Sumika Sumio’s Manga titled King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm Party was serialized in Monthly G Fantasy in January 2018.
The Franchise also features several stage plays along with novels and mobile games. A browser game named King of Prism: Kirameki will be launched on G123.
