Mashle: Magic and Muscles Anime Sequel gets Green Lit.

Howdy! Anime Lovers out there, let’s find some interesting anime news. Mashle: Magic and Muscles Anime has announced a sequel on Sunday. The news was announced in a special event where a teaser video also has been released. 

Mashle: Magic and Muscles:

From the original work of Hajime Komoto, the manga inspired a television anime series that premiered in Japan in April 2023. Crunchyroll aired the English dub first season as it aired in Japan. The Second season was released on January 6, 2024. 

The first season was directed by Tomonari Tanaka (Ace of Diamon, Blood Lad) at A-1 Pictures. Yousuke Kuroda ( Hellsing Ultimate, Jormungand) handled the scripts for the season. Hisashi Higashijima (Animation Director for Moriarty The Patriot) designed the characters and Masaru Yokoyama (Classroom of the Elite, Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night) composed the music. 


Mashle: Magic and Muscles

The story of the first season of Mashle followed a world full of magic and each person is ranked based on their skills with magic. Enters Mash Burnedead, a young man living in harmony in the deep forest. But his harmonic life has one problem he doesn’t have any magic in his blood but his muscles are pumped up. Will he beat another skilled magician with his bare muscles? Or he will fall flat? 

Hajime Komoto debuted the Mashle manga in Shueisha’s Shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023. 

Viz Media and Manga Pus serialized the manga in English and also announced the print publication of the manga in Oct 2020. The first volume was released on July 6, 2021. 

A special one-shot manga chapter was released in Weekly Shonen Jump on Jan 6, 2024.
